At our extensive facility in California, we are able to manufacture brackets from a wide range of materials, to meet our customers’ specific needs. The choice of material across the varied environments that are encountered in an aircraft is critical for safety as well as for optimal performance.
Wide range of materials
With our combination of high specification machinery and engineering expertise, we are able to work with a wide range of metals, including stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, beryllium copper and Inconel. Stainless steel is often favored for its strength and toughness; however, it is heavy, with is not always optimal as a choice in the aerospace industry. Aluminum is lighter, but less strong. Titanium combines strength and lightness but is a more costly option. We also work with non-metal materials, including fiberglass, nylon, polyimide, carbon fiber and phenolic. These are often chosen for their cost-effectiveness as well as their low weight. The specific properties of each material will make it more or less appropriate for the specific environmental stressors that will be encountered, such as extremes of heat, pressure, or exposure to chemicals, moisture or UV light. Our experienced teams of engineers and technicians are available to advise all our customers on which material will be optimal for their individual needs.
